Abstract

GERMAN: Das Thema dieses Artikels ist das moralische Urteil und diezusammenhängenden Elemente in dem Diwan von Hafis. Zur Förderungdieses Urteils aus dem Diwan haben wir versucht, herauszufinden, ob esmöglich ist, Antworten auf neue Fragen der modernen Ethik aus demDiwan zu gewinnen, die auch Hafis´ Vorstellung darstellen können. Da wirin dieser Forschung die Geschichte mit neuen Fragen überprüfen, entsprichtdie Natur der Forschung einer erneuten Lektüre der Geschichte in ihremtraditionellem Sinne. Wir versuchen, nämlich einige Moralgesetze von Hafismit Hilfe von modernen Idiomen zu analysieren und Fragen zu stellen,deren Antwort sowohl die Moraltheorie von Hafis als auch seinenGesichtspunkt über das moralische Urteil erscheinen lässt. ENGLISH: This paper studies the approach of Hafez towards the problem of moraljudgment, according to current ethical terms. It is shown that Hafez‟s versesconfirm a moral approach in normative ethics, which can be identified asvirtue-based ethics. This approach is opposed to deontologism andconsequentialism, and it emphasizes on the virtues, or moral character. Inmoral judgment, one should theoretically consider moral character insteadof rules, duties or consequences of actions. The paper discusses that theHafez‟s virtue ethics approach, in itself, makes moral judgment practicallyimpossible or very difficult; and avoids moral judgment, at least, for threereasons: a) the problem of moral judgment is an epistemological gap; b) thepurpose of morality is to act correctly, which opposes moral judgment.Hence, according to Hafez, self-purification is prior to attempt to enjoinothers; c) human life is totally under domination of fatality.
