Abstract

Physiologically THERMAL COMFORT conditions is a limit of temperature and humidity in which thermal control mechanism of human body is in its least activity. THERMAL COMFORT conditions not only have impact on sizes of HEATING AND COOLING equipment, but also affects the thickness of INSULATION, and energy consumption of buildings. It is necessary to define THERMAL COMFORT conditions for different climates of Iran, in order to maintain comfort for inhabitants, and also conserve energy. In this paper THERMAL COMFORT conditions for TEHRAN, considering ENERGY CONSERVATION is introduced. The proposed thennal limits, maintains proper internal conditions, reduces fossil fuel consumption during cold periods and electrical energy in hot periods of year.
