Abstract

Historically, designing and utilizing different binds of models has always been regarded as a main principle by geographers. In the past decades, physical geographers have tried to solve the main problems and to answer the questions in the realms of physicalgeography. Therefore, they have experimented different modeling types for achieving the main predetermined objectives.Addressing these tasks, they have properly utilized the technology of their own age to reflect and to display the realities of the earth's surface by DIFFERENT MODELS and styles. However, in recent decades, the surprisingly advanced technology in computer science, invention of the new observation tools, development of communication systems and the need for applied aspects have all brought about some essential changes in modeling strategies.The main purpose of the present paper is to address the role of DIFFERENT MODELS to show the realities in the field of modern physical geography. Thus, first an introduction will be offered to emphasize the importance of some goals in physical geography. Then, the subject and characteristics of DIFFERENT MODELS and methods of new modeling systems will be discussed.
