Investigating the Effect of Organizational Culture Types On Human Resource Management of Project Processes

Abstract

 Cultural values affect different aspects of HRM processes. This research in aimed at investigating the role of organizational culture values in HRM processes. The impact of the components of organizational culture on human resource management processes, based on Hofstede's cultural model, is investigated by Standard Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). The primary and secondary hypotheses of the research are tested through questionnaires in more than 20 organizations and project-based companies. This is a survey research whose data are collected through random sampling by distributing questionnaires among 2, 000 employees of the community. Research findings indicate that cultural variables, power distance, individualism and collectivism influence the process of HRM of projects. The findings of the research substantially confirmed that individualism affects HRM processes of the project negatively. However, collectivism leave positive effects in HRM processes of the project. This signifies the key role of development of organizational culture indicators on the HRM of project process.
