Abstract

In this article it is claimed that science, culture, technology and especially politics can not be considered as separate and independent from PHILOSOPHY. Science without PHILOSOPHY, as Descartes pointed out, is like a tree without roots, and science as the fruit is always in need of PHILOSOPHY. In contemporary period, many philosophers such as positivists and other philosophical doctrines have tried to deny the dependence of science or politics on PHILOSOPHY to no avail. Even POSTMODERNISM has its roots in metaphysical ideas. Philosophical thought has always been and will be the basis of civilization and culture.
