Abstract

Purpose: In current research, after a comprehensive review on Academic Genealogy, some important projects were introduced and related software was described. Research Methodology: This is a review paper and in current research literature review was used. Results: The present study revealed that several projects have been operating on the genealogy of the scientific supervisor-student relationship is drawn through that can be a model for similar projects in Iran. On the other hand, in this study it was found there are several software programs that genealogy researchers to identify scientific and scientific relations researchers can draw benefit from them. In the genealogy of the emphasis on the relationship of people like peer, or teacher-student. Thus, in the majority of genealogy projects, is working in a scientific field, relationships can be determined. In recent decades, citation analysis and synthesis methods have been used to analyze scientific collaboration between writers However, the authors of these methods cannot be determined.
