Abstract

This research seeks to identify the opportunistic and threatening factors of the UAE in Convergence or Divergence (opportunities and challenges) with the Islamic Republic of Iran, and to understand the environment, the question arises that the obstacles and challenges facing Iran What is the achievement of regional integration with the UAE? And how can the Islamic Republic of Iran benefit from the opportunities in the UAE to accelerate the process of Convergence and avoid regional Divergence? To answer these questions the theoretical framework and the Convergence of different approaches were studied, as well as regional factors and challenges that led to them, was determined. his research was done by descriptive-analytical method and these factors were extracted by library method and documentary analysis. By designing a questionnaire, the statistical society regarding the role and function of these factors in the Convergence or Divergence of the UAE with the Islamic Republic of Iran through a survey method Obtained. Collecting information from field research method by means of a questionnaire and its questions were prepared using a Likert scale. The content validity coefficients of the indexes increased from the minimum content factor (0. 62), and had a meaningful validity. The reliability of the two-step method was 0. 85 using the Gutman test. Finally, there are factors such as the "dependence of the UAE to the Strait of Hormuz", "UAE Shiites", "Culture and Religion", "Missile Defense Shields", "Emirati Military Contracts", "Unfinished Emirates Boundaries with Iran", "Cooperation" With global powers ", " regional policies of the UAE "are among the factors that play an important role in the Convergence or Divergence of the UAE with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
