The thinking style of satirical poets in the second Pahlavi period (case study, status of offices)

Abstract

 Due to the numerous social and political problems, Second Pahlavi era is considered as the age of satire improvement in the contemporary Persian literature. According to one of the most important theories of satire (the Improvement motivation), satire is indirect criticism of the Corruptions and evils of society to improve them. In this article, we have analyzed the status of offices in the Second Pahlavi satire poetry by an analytical method, and library study. The results show that each of the satirists of this period have criticized the abnormal situation of their offices According to their present status. The judiciary, the National Assembly, the municipalities, the police department, and so on are the social institutions that satirical poets have studied them and examined their problems carefully. Although most political, social satire of any age (especially journalistic satire) may represent the daily situation of a society, it will be certainly an important part of its social, political history later on. Therefore, exploring the satires of contemporary literature is one of the best ways to know about contemporary Iranian history.
