Abstract

This study, which was conducted with a quasi-experimental method and pretest-posttest design with a control group, aimed to investigate the effectiveness of solution-driven counseling on marital forgiveness and boredom among incompatible women. The population included all women referring to Ardabil courthouse for divorcing in 2016 and 30 of them were selected by the convenience sampling and equally placed in two test and control groups. The data were collected by both forgiveness and Pines' marital boredom questionnaires. The results of the analysis of covariance demonstrated that solution-driven counseling significantly increases the level of forgiveness and decreases the level of marital boredom among incompatible women. These results can be support this issue that solution-driven counseling can be applied for reducing marital boredom and raising forgiveness among incompatible women to prevent family foundation to be collapsed and improve marital relationships.
