Abstract

The aim of present study is to determine the effectiveness of Integrative Couple Therapy via Diamond Method on Psychological Well-Being and Marital Conflict after the birth of the first child in couples of Ahvaz. Three couples were selected using purposeful sampling. Multiple baseline experimental single case study was used as the method of the present study. Integrative Couple Therapy via Diamond Method was carried out in three phases of baseline, intervention and follow-up and participants completed the Ryff`s Psychological Well-Being Scale (PWB) and Kansas Marital Conflict Scale (KMCS). Data analyzed by visuals inspection, reliable change index (RCI) strategies and improvement percentage. The results showed that The Integrative Couple Therapy via Diamond Method has significant effect in decreasing of Marital Conflict but this therapy has no significant effect on Psychological Well-Being. The Integrative Couple Therapy via Diamond Method can be effective in transition to parenthood and the family therapist can use this intervention to improvement of marital relationship quality in Iranian`s couples.
