Abstract

Today, security is considered to be the most important principle in developing a tourism development strategy worldwide. security for growth and development in the tourism industry is one of the most essential components needed. This study examines the geographical location of the police station in terms of access to tourism spaces in Isfahan. The applied research method is applied, and for analyzing data, the network analysis tool in the Arc GIS software has been used. In this study, the pattern of police station spatial distribution was first studied. In the following, police station access routes to the tourist areas were analyzed. And the radius of police station performance was determined in relation to tourist spots. The results showed that the police station locations in Isfahan are not in desirable position in terms of access to tourist spots. It was also found that the number of police station in Isfahan, especially in the central part of the city, was not enough.
