Abstract

Introduction: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of Boen’ s intergenerational method training on family relations and systematic family variables in Isfahan in 2018-2019. Method: A semi-experimental design by pre-test and post-test with control group conducted. A sample with 40 married women were selected on a voluntary basis and randomly divided into control and experimental groups. The research instruments were Family Relation scale, triangulation scale, as well as, control method and boundaries scale. Both groups were evaluated in pre-test and post-test. The experimental group was trained for 8 sessions of Boen’ s intergenerational method training, while no training receive by control group. The collected data were analyzed using MANOVA analysis. Results: The results showed that the method used in general was effective in improving research variables of mothers (p <0. 05) except 2 variables of rigid and vague oundaries Conclusion: It can be concluded that Boen’ s intergenerational method training can be used to improve family variables.
