Abstract

The purpose of this article is to explain and analyze the role of the media in the fight against corruption with the approach of the national integrity system. The media can play a big role in highlighting corruption by covering various news items. This action can draw the attention of the people and officials to the issues in this area and if necessary, policy-makers can use the results of this area as well. The new approach taken by various countries in the fight against corruption and the promotion of the health of the administrative system is the national integrity system. According to this approach, all sections of society should interact with each other in line with national integrity. Various actors, including the mass media are involved in identifying and directing anti-corruption policies. The method of collecting information and data in this article is library and documentary studies and the information is analyzed analytically and inferentially. Findings and results showed that the existence of freedom of information and recognition and the right of public access to it, the existence of freedom of the press and media, to not censor and self-censoring, structural, content, financial and political independence of mass media and ensuring the independence of journalism are the most important indicators and factors of the media in the national system of integrity which their absence is a serious obstacle to the true role of the media in anti-corruption policy.
