Abstract

This study aimed at investigating the role of Women in promoting the capabilities of non-governmental organizations (NGOs). The main objective of this study was to identify the factors that can increase the role of Women in promoting the capabilities of NGOs. Via the surveys, after screening the primary factors using Delphi technique, five factors were identified as the most important factors that Women respondents could comment on, including financial assistance, holding continuous and purposeful meetings forWomen, consultancy services, the application of training in Women's organizations, and promotion of culture and symbolic activities. The statistical population of this study included 180 Women members of the NGOs in Tehran who were mostly active in the field of Social harm. Of these, 123 samples were selected by Cochran formula. Data were collected using a questionnaire. To evaluate this questionnaire’ s reliability and validity, Cronbach's alpha method and CVRwere utilized respectively. The data were analyzed by one-sample ttest. The results indicated that financial support and assistance played a significant role in enhancing the capabilities of NGOs.
