Abstract

Iran's textile and clothing industry with its long history, investment volume, and high value added rate, previous and subsequent links with other industries, the national economy, and abundant manpower has many potential opportunities for their quantitative and qualitative development and improvement and the national economy. But unfortunately, the production of textiles, especially black tent fabrics, has been associated with many challenges and problems for many years. In this research, the challenges of production development, policies and strategies to improve the situation of black tent fabric production in the Textile industry have been identified and ranked. The present study is an applied research in terms of purpose, and a descriptive-exploratory one in terms of method. In this study, through the literature and interviews with experts, 46 challenges were recognixed first; then, 18 main ones were identified and ranked by conducting two-sentence and Friedman tests. Finally, by reviewing the literature and interviewing experts, 11 policies and 33 solutions were identified, and by using the CVR index, important policies and strategies were selected to address the challenges.
