Abstract

Social developments are among the most important areas of research in the social sciences. An agreement on divorce in the Iranian society is one example of the transformation of the family and marriage institutions. In this paper, we try to understand and analyze the process of changing this phenomenon with its Social Construction. For this purpose, the "analytical realism" approach, and in particular the "voluntary action theory", was used by American structuralism sociologist Talcott Parsons. The method used in this research is qualitative and is of secondary analysis type and has been used to collect data from previous surveys and research. Findings of the research indicate that a divorce agreement is influenced by two objective and subjective social contexts of Social Construction. Its mental context relates to the evolution of the patterns of conjugation and the change in the structure of the authority of the family and its objective context in the context of family litigation proceedings in the Family Courts as well as the world-wide sexuality of the world today.
