Abstract

Crises and disasters can cause great damage and lead to widespread and systematic disruptions in all parts of society at different levels of organization, local, national and international. Earthquakes, floods, droughts, terrorism, and other hazards kill tens of thousands of people, injure hundreds of thousands, and cost billions of dollars in economic losses every year around the world. Of course, these phenomena can also be a force for constructive change, growth and modernization. Crisis can cause rapid transformation of institutions, changes in societies, ecosystems, reduced economic stability, and even widespread changes in the beliefs of individuals in society. Crises and disasters have always been associated with human life, surprising companies and organizations, and creating milestones in the history of nations.
