Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate Spatial Analysis of theft crimes and socioeconomic variables in urban neighborhoods. The research method in this article is descriptive-analytic. The comprehensive statistical data of the study included information of statistical blocks of 1390 at the neighborhoods level of the region 11 of Tehran and the offenses related to theft in 2010. The most important statistical tests used are the Center-Medium and Oval-standard deviation tests, and from among the clustering tests, the nearest neighbor index is used to identify massive cores. The results of this study indicate that Oval-standard deviation of the robbery crimes in the neighborhoods of the region 11 is consistent with Oval-standard deviation of socioeconomic variables. In other words, the amount of theft crimes is higher in areas with high population density, lower moderate income, higher moderate unemployment rates, higher moderate illiteracy rates, and higher car and computer ownership rates, Also the middle center theft crimes is Correspond almost with the center of the variables mentioned, so that this center is located between the neighborhoods of Baghshah, Aphsari College, Monirieh, Forouzis, Ghalmastan, Azerbaijan, Sheikh Hadi, Helal Ahmar and Makhsous.
