Spatial Analysis of Motorcycle Accidents (Case study: District 6 of Tehran Municipality)

Abstract

 Increasing the number of vehicles has led to a tendency to use Motorcycles in the metropolitan area of Tehran. With the growth of the use of this vehicle, the Accidents and losses caused by it have also been increased, and today Motorcycle drivers are among the most vulnerable traffic users. In this research, the attempt to identify the Accidental/fa?page=1&sort=1&ftyp=all&fgrp=all&fyrs=all" target="_blank">Accidental points of Motorcycle crashes is an effective step in reducing the crash of these traffic users. For this purpose, firstly, the Motorcycle crash points in the city of Tehran (1364) were extracted from the Tehran Naval Corps in the year (1394) and summarized in a database of a total of 1298 Accidents in this area. . Of these, a total of 314 cases of Accidents and 984 Accidents were fatal Accidents. To determine the frequency and severity of Accidents and prioritize them, the kernel density function, the nearest neighbor, Moran index and coefficient (general G statistics) have been used. The results show that the area of Revolution Square, the intersection of Keshavarz Boulevard, towards the Azar Avenue (16), Keshavarz Boulevard intersection to Palestine Street, intersection of Azar to Poursina Street, Karim Khan-Hafez intersection, Rudsar Avenue, Zoroaster-ValiAsr intersection, intersection Mofat-Taleghani, intersection of Mofat-Sumiyeh, Sefteyar Square, Mirza-e-Shirazi-Beheshti intersection and Khalid Eslamboli-Beheshti intersection, both in terms of the number of Motorcycle Accidents and the severity of Accidents leading to death in the row of the most harmful hazardous areas of high density Area (6).
