Abstract

 Economic-oriented development has caused serious damage to the environment, while the consequences of this attitude have become one of the concerns of countries in the contemporary era, and has led to the emergence of a three-dimensional concept of development based on economics, society and the environment, which is called development Sustainable. Sustainable Development is, a balance between the needs of a community to improve the standard of living and prosperity on the one hand and the quality of the environment and the benefits of future generations on the other. Since the Efficiency of utilizing resources is a step towards Sustainable Development, and by analyzing the productivity indicators of the production factors, the Efficiency of the performance of different economic sectors in use of resources is deterMined, and one of the economic sectors whose products have long been considered and used by mankind are the mining sector and extraction of Minerals have many environmental consequences. The present study aims to investigate the Efficiency of ore Mines in Yazd Province with emphasis on environmental indicators. In this study, through self-explanatory models and Solow indicator method, the total productivity growth of the factors of production in the Mine sector during the period 1360-1395 was investigated and then the rank of Mines in this group of Mines is specified. The results of this study indicate an increase in the productivity of this group of Mines and during this period, Chandermeli, Islamiyah and Arjenan Mines have had first to third ranks for Efficiency ratings.
