Abstract

 'Haji Agha' written by S. HEDAYAT (first printed in 1945) is a NOVEL in two levels with particular ELEMENTS expressing, in a special way, the various FORMs of tyranny before and after the Reza Shah's escape. Despite some studies undertaken, it seems that some aspects of this NOVEL are still unknown. In this paper, as well as the analysis of the from and content of the NOVEL, the critics' views and comments are criticized. The features misleading the critics as well as the real and allegorical dimensions are also shown. In the analysis of the content, the characters, language and relevant ELEMENTS are taken into consideration.
