EDUCATION IN HIDEGGER'S HERMENEUTICAL POINT OF VIEW

Abstract

 In recent decades some powerful intellectual movements have reconsidered HERMENEUTIC as the theory or science of interpretation, So that they view it as having the potential for making impact on humanity science and specially education. This paper deals with HIDEGGER's HERMENEUTICal point of view. Due to the significance of the point UNDERSTANDING in HERMENEUTICal issues, by making a philosophical approach towards UNDERSTANDING and by relating it to EXISTENCE and expressing the existential circumstances of its achievement. HIDEGGER falls distant of Diltheys methodological HERMENEUTIC and constructs his philosophical HERMENEUTIC, which the impact of it on education is to be dealt with this research. The main idea in HIDEGGER's philosophical HERMENEUTIC is making the learner attain a degree of UNDERSTANDING which enables him to reach his existential possibilities for EXISTENCEs in the living world in which lives, and upon this UNDERSTANDING mankind finally discovers his capacities and forms of being, Which itself opens up new situations in front of him. In the light of the triple structures of UNDERSTANDING and in the light of the analysis of new situations, learners are actively forced in to the new possibilities. Thus by creating an open atmosphere and mutual trust teachers should both accept the students' way of thinking and to challenge it, and help the students to listen to what sounds like thinking. This method apparently diverges from the educational system in which there is nothing but teaching.
