Abstract

There are two basic problems about the words and terms of the Islamic MYSTICISM texts; 1- The abundance and variety of the differences of their appreciations of these terms. 2- The changes and alterations of meaning of these words and terms during the evolution of MYSTICISM. These two points are correct about the terms of «Abstainer», «Sufi», and «Mystic» and «Divine guardian». In this essay, with reference to reliable texts and citing sufficient examples, firstly, we tried to explain the evolution of the words and terms of «Divine guardian», «Abstainer», «Sufi», and «Mystic» during the history of MYSTICISM. Secondly, we considered and analyzed the various views about the differences of «Abstainer» with «Sufi and MYSTIC» and «Sufi» with «Mystic» and «Mystic» with «Divine guardian».
