Abstract

This article tries to reconstruct the life narration with meddling of photo albums. In other words, how do owners of these albums turn the destroyed, non-contingency, separate and non-leaner narration of their lives through the non-moving and steady pictures into a the narrative may, linear and coherent, and how they reconstruct their identities and status through this.The methodology of this research is qualitative and for doing the field work operations we have used the ethnographic method and content analysis. Through interview approach to photo albums and interpretation of those albums, we have extracted seven categories: INDIVIDUAL IDENTITY construction, construction of individualistic and collective narration, representation of power relation, continuity of kinship, re-experiencing of events and deformation of interactions. In fact, these categories reveal the trend of theoretical rotation in new modern digital photos in comparison to classical pictures.
