Abstract

The purpose of this study was investigating the effectiveness of Rogerian GROUP COUNSELING method on the self. Esteem of Mentally disabled female students with 16-20 age in vocational skills school. In order to achieve this purpose the Cooper Smith's SELF-ESTEEM test performed as pre and post tests. 24 female students were vandonly selected and assigned into experimental and control groups. The experimental group participated in 9 sessions of Rogerian counseling. At the end, both groups were given post test. Results showed that the GROUP COUNSELING had no significant effect on academic social, family and physical SELF-ESTEEM.
