Abstract

The energy-gap of the heisenberg TWO-LEG LADDER in the presence of a magnetic field is studied. The ground state phase diagram cosists of rung-singlet, LUTTINGER LIQUID and saturated ferromagnetic phases. By using the FINITE-SIZE SCALING method, the critical saturation field is computed. Numerical results show that the mentioned transition is in the universality class of the Ising model in the Transvers field.
