Abstract

UNSATURATED POLYESTER RESIN can be used in FIBERGLASS industries. These resins are linear POLYMERs that are changed to cross links POLYMERs with a radical - addition reaciton. UNSATURATED POLYESTER RESINs are producted in five different processes. Two of these, are continuous methods. In these methods, reactant materials are transfered into system with a controlled rate, at the same time, producted resins are taken out from the system. Three of these, are "Batching Methods" which reactant materials are transfered in system at once, Arbor esterification reaction, productal resins are out from system. In laboratory, UNSATURATED POLYESTER RESINs are producted in two hatching processes, (Fusion and Solvent) and as a result, ii1 order commercial used, FUSION PROCESS is selected, After succeeding in laboratory scale, the production of resin was done in pilot scale, by FUSION PROCESS
