Abstract

 In recent years, DIHYDROPYRIMIDININES and their derivatives occupy an important place in the realm of natural and synthetic organic chemistry because of their therapeutic and pharmacological properties. AMMONIUM FERROUS SULFATE HEXAHYDRATE (FeSO4. (NH4)2SO4.6H2O) as a very inexpensive and readily available reagent, catalyzed efficiently one-pot three component. Biginelli condensation reaction under SOLVENT-FREE conditions to afford the corresponding DIHYDROPYRIMIDININES in high yields at 70°C.
