Abstract

Based on the assumptions of global markets characteristics embedded through globalisation effects on the world economy, this paper seeks to contemplate measures to maximize benefits from the god sent blessings for the countries in the region. Preliminary, the effects of globalisation on the national policy system will be analysed without going through to such effects in detail. The results are discussed in the beginning of the paper in the form of indices and assumptions. Next, regionalism has been reviewed briet1y followed by the oil economy issues. The oil subject include issues such as the world oil consumptions forecast, the share of the countries in the Persian Gulf region in supplying the world demand, the nature of the oil market, history of the multilateral monpoly of oil and OPEC experience. Finally, paper will be concluded with the proposal of establishing a regional oil organisation in the Persian Gulf region and its advanges for this region. Concluding remarks are at the end.
