Abstract

The Important role of entrepreneurship in growth and development of domestic and global economies sectors emphasize the need to create and sustain an appropriate supportine policy for entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship.In this study a population of both distinguished and undistinguished managers from manufacturing firms of Khorasan province was studied to measure their entrepreneurship characteristics based on criteria introduced by scholars. For this purpose, a standard questionnaire was used, and collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistical methods.The result of the study showed that the managers categorized as distinguished or successful models according to their performance in a five year period, generally had active entrepreneurship traits as suggested by literature. However, the result of the analysis showed a meaningful difference in the performance of such managers as compared with those not recognized as successful ones.
