Abstract

PRIVATIZATION policy is growing in most of the developing countries including Iran following the weak and inefficient performance of PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS and firms. This policy has been taken to highlight the market role against the government decisions. The objectives that PRIVATIZATION follows are: decreasing the government supervision in economy, reinforcing the ENTREPRENEURSHIP capacity, increasing the companies' efficiency and optimum allocation of resources, and creating economic balance. One of the main reasons for PRIVATIZATION is encouraging ENTREPRENEURSHIP. PRIVATIZATION makes the companies use the developed skills and resources considering the marketing demands.Therefore; PRIVATIZATION leads to ENTREPRENEURSHIP through new investment activities, innovation and risk taking by different companies. This study considers the relationship between PRIVATIZATION and the degree of ENTREPRENEURSHIP of ceded companies through the STOCK EXCHANGE; and shows PRIVATIZATION has had a positive effect on ENTREPRENEURSHIP capacity of the firms.
