Abstract

In order to investigate infectious haemotopoitic necrosis DISEASE (IHN) and infectious pancreatic necrosis DISEASE (IPN), the causes of economic losses in cultured salmonids such as rainbow trout, in a one and a half year study a total of 153tissue samples from broodstock and 607 FISH (40-300 day-old) were collected from 5 rainbow trout farms in Kohkiloye-boyer ahmad and Fars provinces. Sandwich ELISAs using polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies were employed to detect IHN, VIRAL haemorrhagic septicemia (VHS), IPN VIRAL antigens. IHN virus (French strain) and IPN virus (sp strain) antigens were detected in broodstock tissues and FISH tissues of all ages (water temperature of 10-14oC) in Kohkiloye-boyer ahmad whereas FISH collected from Fars did not show the antigens after 80 days of age (water temperature of 14- 16oC). No samples contained VHS virus antigens (reva strain).
