Abstract

It is common to think that some basic philosophical and epistemological beliefs have special political implications so as they must not be ignored by any political theorist. According to this common view every political theory or doctrine relies on its appropriate POLITICAL PHILOSOPHY. But there are some recent political theorists who deny the importance and necessity of any POLITICAL PHILOSOPHY. According to them the validity and authenticity of a political theory is not dependent on any philosophical foundations. Some of them, taking an anti- evidential approach, deny the dependence of political theory on the philosophical bases at all. This paper discusses three attitudes which challenged the common view of dependency of political theory on POLITICAL PHILOSOPHY.
