Abstract

Prominent poets and writers have their own STYLEs which are closely associated with their names throughout the literature. "STYLE" simply means the unigue way an individual employs to express himself or herself. In this paper, the poetic STYLE of the Iranian poet Taleb-e Amoli (1036 A.H) has been analyzed. The poet"s STYLE falls on the middle of the two main trends in poetry of the Safavid. era: the Indian branch of the Persian poetry and the Iranian branch. Further, the author has identified and introduced, through examples, the Stylistic features of Taleb"s poetry in the two areas of language (i.e. lexicon and syntntax) and rhetoric (i.e. elements of poetry).
