Abstract

To examine the relationship between MORAL META-COGNITION, reasoning, and behavior, a sample of 140 8th graders were randomly selected from among all such students attending middle school in Tehran. The three aforementioned constructs were measured using measures with acceptable levels of validity and reliability. Results not only confirmed the research hypotheses on the relationship between the three, but are also compatible with the findings of other researchers. Furthermore, step-wise regression analysis of the data revealed that from among different levels of MORAL META-COGNITION, THE "PERSON" LEVEL is the best predictor of MORAL REASONING and behavior.
