Abstract

Pearlescent or nacreous pigments are used largely in different industries such as cosmetic, ceramics plastics and automotive paints. As using natural PEARLESCENT PIGMENTS is not economic, their chemical synthesis was investigated extremely.Two important processes for chemical PEARLESCENT PIGMENTS synthesized are Homogeneous Hydrolysis and TITRATION between which the second one is preferred, because it is easy to control.In this paper, a sample of gold Pearlescent pigment is successfully synthesis using TITRATION process. The obtained product is compared to a commercial sample. The results show a good brightness and brilliance of the sample. Some experimental conditions such as particle size, temperature of coating and also temperature of calcinations can have significant impact on the product quality.
