Abstract

One of the problems in grinding circuits especially in AG mills is production of critical size particles and their accumulation in these circuits. Removing and distinct grinding of critical size particles is one of the ways to solve this problem. In this study, critical size particles were defined and also the possibility of these particles removing Procedure and their regrinding in Gol-e-Gohar iron ore processing plant were investigated. Procedure of circulating load removing tests has been explained and physical specifications and behavior of combination of circulating load material were studied. High pressure grinding rolls (HPGR) as grinding equipment has been introduced. Pilot scale grinding test results with HPGR have been analyzed. Finally, for regrinding of this material, one HPGR with all required specifications such as roll size, power, etc, has been selected.
