Abstract

The present essay deals with a comparative study of the fifth, and some parts of the sixth chapters of the Old Testament concerning descendents of Adam to NOAH as well as wickedness of man as a ground for THE FLOOD. In this connection, it attempts to bring perspectives of the Quran and the Old Testament closer together, find common points without any prejudice, reduce apparent disagreements, and direct all those discussions on the basis of non-distortion - unless when such a thing is impossible.
