Abstract

 PTSN-CEO2 NANOPARTICLES HAVE BEEN PREPARED BY A IMPREGNATION METHOD. XRD SHOWS THE FORMATION OF PTSN ALLOY WITH AVERAGE SIZES OF 4.5 NM. THE PTSN-CEO2 NANOPARTICLES SHOW ENHANCED ELECTROCATALYTIC ACTIVITY FOR THE ELECTROOXIDATION OF METHANOL COMPARED WITH THAT AT PT NANOCLUSTERS. THE ONSET POTENTIAL FOR THE OXIDATION OF METHANOL FOR PTSN-CEO2 NANPARTICLES, WHICH IS MORE NEGATIVE THAN THAT OF PT NANOCLUSTERS. PEAK CURRENT DENSITY OF PTSN-CEO2 NANOPARTICLES IS HIGHER THAN THAT OF PT NANOCLUSTERS.
