Abstract

 MANNICH REACTIONS ARE AMONG THE MOST IMPORTANT CARBON-CARBON BOND FORMING REACTIONS IN ORGANIC SYNTHESIS. MACROCYCLIC AND MACROACYCLIC COMPOUNDS HAVE ATTRACTED INCREASING INTEREST OWING TO THEIR ROLE IN THE UNDERSTANDING OF MOLECULAR PROCESSES OCCURRING IN BIOCHEMISTRY, MATERIAL SCIENCE, CATALYSIS, ENCAPSULATION, ACTIVATION, TRANSPORT AND SEPARATION PHENOMENA, HYDROMETALLURGY, ETC [1-3]. A POLYDENTATE LIGAND HAVING DENTICITY OF FIVE OR MORE THAT INCLUDES AN AROMATIC RING WHICH CONTAINS TWO OR MORE ATOMS SELECTED FROM THE GROUP CONSISTING OF A NITROGEN ATOM, AN OXYGEN ATOM, AND A SULFUR ATOM.IN THIS WORK, WE DESIGN AND SYNTHESIS NEW POLYDENTATE LIGANDS FROM MULTICOMPONENT REACTIONS BETWEEN 2, 2' - ((OXYBIS (ETHANE-2, 1-DIYL)) BIS (OXY)) DIBENZENAMINIUM (1EQ), AROMATIC ALDEHYDE (2EQ) AND ORTHO-PHENYLENE DIAMINE (1EQ) IN CYCLOHEXANE AS NONPOLAR SOLVENT AND IN CATALYST FREE CONDITION [4].
