A NOVEL USE OF NEURAL NETWORK TO PREDICT GAS HYDRATE FORMATION RATE IN PRESENCE OF POLYVINYL PYRROLIDONE INHIBITOR

Abstract

 THE RATE OF GAS HYDRATES FORMATION OF FOUR TYPES OF GAS (CARBON DIOXIDE, METHANE, PROPANE, AND ISOBUTENE) IN DIFFERENT PRESSURES AND IN THE PRESENCE OF KINETIC INHIBITORS IN VARIED CONCENTRATIONS HAS BEEN INVESTIGATED USING AN ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORK. THE PROPOSED MODEL IS BASED ON A NEURAL NETWORK WITH A FEED FORWARD NEURAL NETWORK ALGORITHM IN TWO LAYERS. 370 TRAINING DATA AND 76 TESTING DATA WERE UTILIZED FOR COMPUTATIONS. AT THE END, THE NEURAL NETWORK OUTPUTS AND EXPERIMENTAL DATA WERE INVESTIGATED AND TO ASSESS THE ACCURACY AND EFFICIENCY OF THIS WORK, TWO TYPES OF MEASUREMENT ERROR WERE CALCULATED AS THE MEAN SQUARE ERROR (MSE) AND TOTAL AVERAGE ABSOLUTE DEVIATION (TAAD%). THEN THE TAAD% WERE COMPARED WITH ERROR OBTAINED BY EQUATIONAL METHOD.
