Abstract

 INTRODUCTION: POLYMER NANOCOMPOSITES ARE A NEW CLASS OF COMPOSITE MATERIALS, RECEIVING A SIGNIFICANT ATTENTION BOTH IN ACADEMIA AND INDUSTRY. COMPARED TO DIFFERENT NANOFILLERS, CARBON NANOTUBES HAVE EMERGED AS THE MOST PROMISING NANOFILLER FOR POLYMER COMPOSITES DUE TO THEIR REMARKABLE MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL AND THERMAL PROPERTIES [1]. THE PURPOSE OF THIS STUDY IS TO SIMULATE A POLYMER/NANOTUBE NANOCOMPOSITE IN ORDER TO SHED LIGHT ON ITS STRUCTURAL PROPERTIES FROM A FUNDAMENTAL POINT OF VIEW.
