Abstract

INTRODUCTION: DRUG DELIVERY IS DEFINED AS TRANSFERRING CONTROLLED DOZE OF DRUG IN A PARTICULAR TIME [1].NANOPARTICLES USED TO PREVENT DRUG DEGRADATION IN THE HUMAN BODY. THESE PARTICLES INCLUDE POLYMERIC NANOPARTICLES AND SOLID LIPID NANOPARTICLES, WHICH INCREASE THE AMOUNT OF DRUG ABSORPTION AND STABILITY OF THE DRUG. COMPARED TO INJECTION ROUTE, USING NANOPARTICLES AVOIDS PAIN AND DISCOMFORT ASSOCIATED WITH INJECTIONS AS WELL AS ELIMINATING CONTAMINATIONS [2].THE MAIN ROLES OF POLYMERIC NANOPARTICLES IN DRUG DELIVERY SYSTEM ARE TO CARRY THE DRUG MOLECULES, TO PROTECT DRUGS FROM DEGRADATION, AND TO CONTROL DRUG RELEASE. THESE NANOPARTICLES ARE COMPOSED OF BIODEGRADABLE OR BIOCOMPATIBLE MATERIALS. BIOCOMPATIBILITY AND TOXICITY OF POLYMERS SHOULD BE CONTROLLED CAREFULLY VIA IN VIVO AND IN VITRO EVALUATION METHOD [4].
