Abstract

 INTRODUCTION: THROUGH KNOWLEDGE OF ROOT CANAL MORPHOLOGY AND UNUSUAL ANATOMY OF THE TOOTH AND ALSO ADEQUATE CLEANING, SHAPING AND FILLING OF THE ROOT CANAL SYSTEM IS CRITICAL FOR SUCCESSFUL ROOT CANAL THERAPY.ALTHOUGH THE MOST COMMON CONFIGURATION IS TWO ROOTS AND THREE ROOT CANALS, MANDIBULAR MOLARS MIGHT HAVE MANY DIFFERENT COMBINATIONS. IN THE LITERATURE, IT IS LESS DESCRIBED ABOUT THREE MESIAL CANALS IN MANDIBULAR MOLARS.THE THIRD CANAL WAS LOCATED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THE MESIOBUCCAL AND MESIOLINGUAL CANALS, AND IN THE MOST CASES MIDDLE CANAL JOINS TO ONE OF THEM.
