 BACKGROUND: OPTICALLY ACTIVE COMPOUNDS HAVE BEEN ATTRACTING GREAT ATTENTION IN MANY FIELDS OF DRUGS, PESTICIDES, COSMETICS, FOOD ADDITIVES AND SO ON. THE RESOLUTION OF RACEMATES HAS BEEN ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT METHODS TO OBTAIN OPTICALLY ACTIVE COMPOUNDS.
