 BACKGROUND: CARBON NANOTUBES (CNTS), WITH THEIR UNIQUE PHYSIOCHEMICAL PROPERTIES, HAVEMADE RAPID ADVANCEMENTS IN NANOTECHNOLOGY, ENCOMPASSING BROAD AND DIVERSE AREAS OF APPLICATION OF WHICH THE USE OF CNTS AS NANOCARRIERS IN DRUG DELIVERY IS AN EMERGENT TOPIC. THE NANODIMENSION OF CNT IN ADDITION TO ITS UNIQUE ELECTRONIC STRUCTURE (RESEMBLING THAT OF A ROLLED UP GRAPHENE SHEET) MAKES THIS CLASS OF NANOMATERIAL HIGHLY UNUSUAL IN ITS ELECTRONIC PROPERTIES WITH APPLICATIONS IN CATALYSIS, STORAGE DEVICES AS SENSORS NANOELECTRONICS FIELD EFFECT TRANSISTORS (FET) DEVICES AND BIOSENSORS [1].
