Abstract

SAMPLE PREPARATION HAS A UNIQUE MEANING AND SPECIAL IMPORTANCE IN THE FIELD OF ANALYTICAL CHEMISTRY. FOR SEVERAL DECADES, LIQUID–LIQUID EXTRACTION (LLE) HAS BEEN EMPLOYED FOR SAMPLE PREPARATION PRIOR TO ANALYSIS BY HIGH PERFORMANCE LIQUID CHROMATOGRAPHY AND GAS CHROMATOGRAPHY.
