INVESTIGATION THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN METACOGNITIVE BELIEFS AND SELF- EFFICACY ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS OF ILAM

Abstract

 PRESENT STUDY HAVE BEEN DONE AIMED TO EXAMINING RELATION OF MET RECOGNITION BELIEFS AND SELF-EFFICIENCY WITH EDUCATIONAL PERFORMANCE OF STUDENTS IN ILAM CITY. SOCIAL STATISTICS INCLUDES 2600SAMPLES AND SAMPLE SIZE INCLUDED 326 MALE AND FEMALES’ STUDENTS IN HIGH SCHOOL GRADE IN ILAM CITY. WALES METACOGNITIVE QUESTIONNAIRE AND SHERER SELF-EFFICIENCY QUESTIONNAIRE AND AVERAGE SCORES (EDUCATIONAL PERFORMANCE) HAS BEEN DONE FOR DATA GATHERING IN THIS RESEARCH. THE RESULTS OF PIERSON CORRELATION TEST AND LINEAR REGRESSION SHOWED THAT BETWEEN POSITIVE DIMENSIONS OF CONCERN, COGNITIVE SELF-CONSCIOUSNESS AND SELF-EFFICIENCY WITH EDUCATIONAL PERFORMANCE MEANINGFUL AND POSITIVE RELATIONSHIP HAS EXISTS. BUT BETWEEN NEGATIVE DIMENSIONS OF CONCERN, LOW EFFICIENCY WITH EDUCATIONAL PERFORMANCE OF STUDENTS, MEANINGFUL AND REVERSE RELATION HAS EXISTS. BETWEEN DIMENSIONS OF NEGATIVE THOUGHTS AND META-RECOGNITION BELIEFS WITH EDUCATIONAL PERFORMANCE OF STUDENTS, MEANINGFUL RELATION HAS NOT EXISTS. REGRESSION TEST SHOWED THAT SELF-EFFICIENCY AND COMPONENTS OF METACOGNITIVE BELIEFS TOGETHER HAS ABILITY OF PREDICTION EDUCATIONAL PERFORMANCE OF STUDENTS.
