Abstract

 The purpose of this study aimed to determine the effectiveness of Painting therapy on Behavioral problems of 3-to 5-year-old children in Tabriz city. The method of the present study was semi-experimental using a pretest-posttest design with a control group. The statistical population of the present study includes all girls and boys in the age range of 3 to 5 years in kindergartens in Tabriz, among which a sample includes 30 girls and boys aged 3 to 5 years, selected by random sampling method and randomly divided into two groups (15 experimental and 15 control) and in each group 8 boys and 7 girls. Data collection tools included the Eisenbach Children Behavioral problems Scale and the Painting therapy Package. The experimental group was trained in Painting therapy for 10 sessions of 45 minutes, one session per week, but the control group did not receive any intervention. At the end of the intervention, both groups (experimental and control) were re-evaluated in a separate session (post-test). Univariate analysis of covariance was used to test the hypotheses. The results showed that Painting therapy has an effect on Aggression, Anxiety and Depression in children aged 3 to 5 years.
