Baha'is and Reza Shah, from engagement to organizational development

Abstract

 In a historical and political analysis about Iran, to Baha'is role in the rise to power of Reza Khan has been less discussion. Research about the conditions of achieve to power of Reza khan in the political arena and then expand Baha'i in Iran, as two overlapping issue in Iran's political history, can be a good start in the course of study of the Baha'i faith in Iran, and represent how the Baha'is influence in political and cultural structure of in Iran. Unfortunately, most studies on the role of Baha'is in the Pahlavi era, in the reign of Mohammad Reza Shah were done. And these studies have been done about the reign of Reza Shah less. Perhaps one of the reasons a major role during the reign of Mohammad Reza Shah was a Baha'i. This study aimed to represent the Baha'is cooperation in Iran's path to power of Reza Khan and the expansion of the activities carried out during the reign of Reza Shah. The results show that the government of Great Britain, after the 1917 revolution in Russia, at the end of the First World War and the defeat of the 1919 agreement, to expand its role in Iran, the execution of a scenario with the help of its proxies, including the Baha'is, the lowest outcome, destruction fifty-three-year-old Iranian culture and politics during the Pahlavi regime rule. Also, the results showed that the Baha'is both before and after the coup of February 1921, as the actors who took advantage of British influence in Iran, and the realm of culture, politics and religion hatred captured Iranian society, jealous and their colonial and mission. Results of this research can open the door to further studies in this field.
